Jackie-D-Yak, LLC serves the Nashville community by providing speech and language pathology assessments, consultations, and therapy services to English-speaking and/or Spanish-speaking individuals. It is a great privilege and honor to serve the special needs of each client under our care.

We provide both in-home and in-office consultations and therapy. Additionally, we offer a wide range of services based on our individual clients' needs.

What we offer

Bilingual services

We provide diagnosis, consultations, and treatment for communication, language, literacy, and swallowing disorders to English-speaking and/or Spanish-speaking children.

Client-driven programs

The speech therapy program is tailored based on the individual client's needs. Therapy can be provided in-home, virtually, or at the clinic providing flexibility that benefits you.


Who can benefit?

Those that most benefit from speech and/or language therapy are those who exhibit:

  • fluency disorders (stuttering)

  • articulation deficits or disorders

  • receptive/expressive language delays or disorders

  • phonological awareness and reading difficulties

  • autism spectrum disorder

  • hearing impairment

  • feeding and/or swallowing disorders

  • individuals with limited speech in need of Augmentative and Alternative Communication

Meet Jackie

Jacqueline (Jackie) Dunn is the founder of Jackie-D-Yak, LLC. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education with a major in Hearing and Language from the Universidad Austral de Chile, a Master of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Tennessee State University, and a Specialist in Education Degree in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University.

Mrs. Dunn, before coming to the United States in 1995, offered services for the school-age children experiencing reading disorders. Since moving to the United States, she has served the community in TN for 25 years providing diagnosis and treatment of communication and feeding disorders for preschool and school-age Spanish-speaking and English-speaking students. Jackie is fluent in Spanish and English, which allows her to provide bilingual services for the community.

Mrs. Dunn holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), a license from the Tennessee Board of Communication Disorders and Sciences, and a professional license from the Tennessee Department of Education with endorsements in speech and language as well as English as a Second Language (ESL). Jackie is a certified Compton PESL Instructor. In addition, she is equipped with advanced credentials: Certified in LSVT LOUD and VitalStim NMES swallowing therapy.
